Introduction

This guide will walk you through how to change your TAMU Email gateway settings so that your @tamu.edu email address will be sent to your University Hosted Exchange account properly.

The Email Gateway is a service that allows different colleges, departments, and organizations to all use the @tamu.edu email suffix while maintaining their own separate email servers.

If you do not have, or do not use a Liberal Arts exchange account, this guide does not apply to you.

  1. Click this link to log in to the TAMU Gateay https://gateway.tamu.edu
    • Click this link to log in to the TAMU Gateay https://gateway.tamu.edu

    • Click the Log In button, and if prompted log in with your TAMU NetID

  2. Click the "EMAIL SETTINGS" tab
    • Click the "EMAIL SETTINGS" tab

    • Change your Forwarding Settings to Sent to and stored in my Exchange Email mailbox

    • If you do not have this option, please contact the ITSC at itsc@tamu.edu

  3. Optional (but recommended): Change your Sending Address to your @tamu.edu address
    • Optional (but recommended): Change your Sending Address to your @tamu.edu address

    • This is the address that your recipients will see in the "From" field of email you send.
