Introduction

This guide was created using Android version 4.1 "Jellybean". Other versions are similar, and the process is very similar. However, if you are unable to follow this guide you may find the guide on TAMU Infrastructure's website helpful

  1. Tap Settings followed by Accounts Now select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync followed by Settings
    • Tap Settings followed by Accounts

    • Now select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync followed by Settings

  2. Now select Add account Enter your e-mail address which should be your netid@tamu.edu followed by the identical username. The server address will be "exchange.tamu.edu" Enter your e-mail address which should be your netid@tamu.edu followed by the identical username. The server address will be "exchange.tamu.edu"
    • Now select Add account

    • Enter your e-mail address which should be your netid@tamu.edu followed by the identical username. The server address will be "exchange.tamu.edu"

  3. Click Next A message will appear warning about data usage followed by one requesting that the server be allowed to manage your phone. Accept and move forward.
    • Click Next

  4. Make your elections on what you want synced (Calendar, Mail, Contacts) and how you want it performed.

    • Congratulations! You've now added your university exchange account to your Android device.

My version of Android was a bit different, but I made it through by making sure that I put my NetID@tamu.edu in every time it asked for my username (even if it was filled in with something else) and by putting exchange.tamu.edu in every time it asked for a sever name (even it if has been filled in with something else). That did it for me.
