Introduction

Much of the functionality of Thunderbird relies upon add-ons created by third parties that volunteer their time and skill to make the program better. While the ITSC has experience using the add-ins listed here we offer no warranty on their functionality.

Since adding these instructions the ExQuilla developer has decided to begin charging for the add-on. For more information on this transition visit here: https://exquilla.zendesk.com/entries/252...

  1. Download ExQuilla for Microsoft Exchange
    • Download ExQuilla for Microsoft Exchange

    • Download the add-on ExQuilla for Microsoft Exchange by opening Thunderbird, selecting Tools menu, and then selecting Add-ons.

    • Search Add-ons for 'ExQuilla', install, and restart Thunderbird.

  2. Creating an Account
    • Creating an Account

    • Add your CLLA Exchange Account by selecting Tools menu, selecting ExQuilla for Microsoft Exchange, and then selecting Add Microsoft Exchange Account.

  3. Login with Email Address
    • Login with Email Address

    • Enter your email address as yourusername@tamu.edu and use your university (Howdy) password.

    • Leave 'Login with email address' checked.

    • Click next.

  4. Server URL
  5. Set Signature and Reply-to Address
    • Set Signature and Reply-to Address

    • On the left hand side of Thunderbird, right click the account name in the left pane and select Settings in the primary pane.

    • An Account Settings box will pop-up. On the opening screen under your main settings here I recommend you set your Reply-to Address as youridentity@tamu.edu. Set your Signature if you wish. DO NOT change the Account Name because this will create an incorrect outgoing server.
