Open your Control Panel

If you have a Start Menu, click on Start -> Control Panel

If you're on Windows 8, hover in your bottom right corner, and select Control panel from the menu that slides in

Click on Mail

If everything validates correctly, you can click finish.

However, if you get an error saying that the name cannot be matched to a name in the address list:
-
Click OK to dismiss the warning (see figure 2)

In the next window that appears, edit your Mailbox from @tamu.edu to @exchange.tamu.edu (see figure 3)

Click Check Name

The Mailbox textbox should change to show your name.

Click OK

Click Finish

It's important that you verify the settings we just applied. To do that:

Open the Control Panel

Open Mail
-
Open Email Accounts...
-
Select your email account and click Change
-
Verify that the server address is exchange.tamu.edu
-
Call the ITSC if it isn't.

You can now open Outlook and begin using your new email account.
